The concept of time, time to wake up!

Yes, the concept of time, for example to know when it is time to wake up or to go to work and time to knock off. We live by the rules and regulations of time, the movements of the two hands of our clock, or the shiny blinking digits!  These movements rule us, our life, from birth, when to be born, to even when to take our last breath!   This morning, I was listening to a program while on my regular morning walk, about how the concept of time came into being. How people knew, before and who or what told them that it was time to wake up!  The speaker was an academic of medieval studies and was talking about his research on the history of alarm clocks! How religious singing played a part in announcing every morning that it was time to pray. He was talking of monasteries, and churches, but I was thinking about, the singing sounds from a church, or a mosque, a temple, or a gurudwara, waking up the community! Just a bit more

While packing up a few summer clothes etc, I was thinking, just one more cupboard in the garage would have been good!  We always have just one thing extra for which we need that space, as  to make us happy and  comfortable. Just a bit more Because if we had just a bit more Time, or money or space!!  Never enough,  Just a bit more!

Business as usual

After the pandemic has hit hard business as usual After the lock down business as usual After so many jobs were lost business as usual After so many lives were lost business as usual yes even in those houses  where everything is lost with the loss of one life,  Even there, one day, it will be normal, business as usual!   Yes, nature's cycle  it's system  What is abnormal, becomes normal with time!

Reworked Priorities

This moment,  all you have is this moment. be mindful of what is in this moment!  Everything is this moment. So live in this moment   This moment will be gone, in a moment!

The routine of life

Each day is a grain of sand  in an hour glass trickling down one by one the space it occupied in the glass being replaced by emptiness like a handful of sand slipping through the fingers held tightly  still leaving the fist empty sooner or later like a step into a forest each one taking us away from the starting point towards the other end,  Foot steps leaving no trace, no sign, that we were here, that we passed like the twinkling stars disappearing one by one as the Sun rises the invisible hand wiping the sky off all the traces of the stars ready to rewrite another story, of another day, and life goes on, even after we pass on,  without us!  In remembrance of RD, our beloved Dr Ramji Das, who passed away on 12th April.
