Time that we can't go back

We can't go back in time

to do what was left undone, 

Or to undo that was done.

The moment has passed,

it isn't there, waiting for us, 

to complete that what was paused,

to make the amends to what we had missed

to heal the hurts that we had inflicted.

The need for these amends is no more

But we can apologise, 

an apology is better than an 'ignore',

it says, we didn't forget, the hurt, the loss, the injustice,

we can say sorry, for the grief caused! 

In time we can't go back.

But from time we can learn!
