Teeku and rocky road part 1

Teeku was eating his breakfast, when there was a knock on the door. His mum went to open the door, and brought in a little girl with her.

"This is Saia, Teeku, our new neighbour!" His mum introduced a little girl to him, almost his age, height and size. Like a good boy, Teeku shook her hand and asked her, if she had had her breakfast, and she nodded her head.

All settled, Teeku took her to his play room. Saia was a bit timid, Teeku thought, so he tried to be friendly to her, passing a couple of his toys to her, to make her feel comfortable,  just as his mum had  been teaching him, through her own actions.

But Saia shook her head, as she didn't want to play with a truck or a boat, and then she saw his colouring pencil set, and smiled.

Teeku found his drawing paper roll and gave her some sheets of paper.

Saia sat down on the floor, and started to draw. She knew how to draw well, Teeku thought. She drew flowers, then clouds and birds, and then invited Teeku to fill in colours, and soon they had so many colourful drawings, that they filled the floor. So, she and Teeku stuck all her drawings on different parts of the wall.

And then she started to draw on the wall, yes, on the wall itself!!

Teeku's mouth opened in a big 'O', as he was not allowed to write anywhere like this, but then he saw what she was drawing, his eyes opened even wider.

She was drawing a fairy, colourful, and beautiful, with white wings, and a silver golden wand!

Saia finalised the drawing by putting bright red shoes on the fairy's feet, and red pompoms on the tip of the wand.

"Wow, this is a fairy! Like the Tinker bell"! Teeku clapped with glee.

Saia was pleased with her drawing too.

Then she stood in front of her fairy and opened her own arms wide, just as if she was flying too.

Teeku stood up too, in front of the drawings and opened his arms as well, and soon, three of them, the fairy, Saia and Teeku were flying. And they flew out of the window.

It was beautiful outside, blue sky, golden sunshine, and flying birds. Teeku was flying between the fairy, and Saia, and enjoying the cool air and the touch of the marshmallow soft clouds, white, pink and fluffy.

He stuck his tongue out to taste one and found it just as sweet as a marshmallow but watery and syrupy.

Suddenly a bird came closer, as it wanted a sip of the marshmallow cloud too, Teeku let him, and then it started to fly by Teeku's side.

It wasn't a race, but Teeku started to flap his arms a bit faster. He was still flying right behind the fairy, but now he was quite ahead of Saia. He couldn't see her, so he looked behind to check on her, but it was quite hard to fly and turn around, so he kept flying, and soon he lost Saia.

They had been flying for a while, but now Teeku wanted to stop. He couldn't hear Saia flying behind him, and he was getting worried, and a bit scared too, as they were actually quite lost.

And now they were in the clouds completely.

He didn't know where he was going, so he just kept looking at the red pompoms on fairy's wand and flying away.

There was a gap in the clouds, just like a small window, and flying behind the fairy, he flew out of the clouds into the patch of sunshine!

And lo behold, he was in his own room, and there on the wall, was the fairy, with her red pompoms, and he turned around to look for Saia, she was standing near the opposite wall, and had just finished drawing a golden yellow window on the wall, and was smiling mysteriously.

Before Teeku could ask her anything, mum called from the kitchen.

"Teeku! Do you want some snack? Ask Saia too, I've made rocky road with pink marshmallows, your favourite!"
