Pets our besties

For the past few days, I have been coming across a man on his wheel chair one of those motorised ones, coming to 'walk' around the park, with his dog, a beautiful golden retriever, tethered to the chair, it runs ahead of him, as if it directs him, pulls him,  accompanies him. His lush tail wagging along. It is such a beautiful sight!

During lockdown, so many people have started walking, yes, walking as a pass time, not only as exercise, but as a way of entertainment too.

 And also, I have seen a few people with dogs, some big ones, and some with tiny ones, and mostly people with puppies.

We already have a cat, and we used to have a dog many years ago, and now we have got a puppy too. 

I mean, we know a bit about animals, our pets.

They are our besties,  they are great companions, as they stick with you, no matter what! 

They are playful, naughty, and they have unconditional love., they  never keep a grudge. And never argue!

Shaw's famous words sometimes seems so true:

"The more I see humans the more I love dogs"!

Contentment

  We, who are all running after contentment, do we even know what contentment actually means? Does it mean being content, satisfied, and happy, with what we have, where we are, who we are with today?  Then I'd say that we are running after a butterfly, a transient, fleeting feeling, something that we would never achieve for a longer period. As where we are happy today, with whom, and with what we have, that keeps changing. We want something today, and really want it, and we think, that is what would make us content, and yes, it does feel like we are content, after we get what we want, for a little while. But then the same thing which made us content, is not enough. It doesn't satisfy us anymore. WE want something else, something more.  So, what if being content meant, just being content, like our nature to be satisfied with whatever we have, a value that keeps us happy always with ourselves, that would be the intrinsic, an internal  contentment. Tikku and the lost pages part 1

Tikku was carrying his favourite book 'Winnie the Pooh' to the kitchen, where his mum was baking, and might have some time to read a bit for him. He had already checked the pictures and was quite excited, and was almost running with the half opened book in his hand.  When he got to the kitchen, his mum asked him to help her in rolling some cookies, so after putting the last batch in the oven, she could sit and read the book to him. He was chatting away about the honey trail, that he knew Winnie-the-Pooh was going on with his friend Piglet and was wondering whether they were going to get lost in the hundred acres.
